What should I expect upon arriving?
Answer:
You should arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow for discussion of the session, and to fill out any paperwork. After the inital intake, you will be taken to the room and allowed time and privacy to undress to your level of comfort.
Question:
Do I need to fully undress?
Answer:
Nope, massage can be peformed over clothing. We ask that you dress down to your level of comfort. Proper draping techniques are used to preserve modesty and ensure no private areas are exposed.
Question:
Do I need to bring anything special?
Answer:
We recommend wearing loose and comfortable clothing and a water bottle.
Question:
I like deep pressure, does that mean I need to get a Deep Tissue massage?
Answer:
Deep Tissue Massage can ride the border of an individuals pain tolerance and requires quite a bit of communication. However, Swedish Massage can offer deep pressure as well, but it is a more relaxing and soothing technique. We will recommend the service that best fits your needs and wants after a consultation.

How often can I receive a massage?
Answer:
That depends on each patient, we will work with you and your individual needs to recommend the optimal frequency of treatment.
Question:
Do I have to disclose all my health conditions on the Health History form?
Answer:
It is best if you can give an accurate and full picture of your health and injuries on your health history form. This enables us to design the most appropriate and effective treatment for you. This will also help rule out any contraindications.
Question:
Is massage sexual?
Answer:
Absolutely NOT, at Mountain Roots Massage we STRICTLY perform clinical massages for Wellness. If any sexual remarks, advances or inuendos are made, the massage will be immediately ended and you will still be responsible for payment of the full session.
